I have 2 amazing mighty boys, in some ways they are alike, in others..very different. I love how the Lord created boys, they are born with energy and a love for dirt! My boys are different then me..I am not the best lego builder, football tosser, dirt digger.. My boys are so creative with their inventions, buildings and just how their minds work. Children are a hertiage of the Lord and when I look at my boys, I see the image of God! He made them strong to protect, He gave them energy to lead, He created my boys to be builders to build strong nations.
My boys are rough and tough and often dirty. My son always says (after I give him the look of dissapointment when his new shirt is dirty) we are boys and meant to be dirty! Very true Son! But there is a gentleness to my sweet boys, they love to be near me. When I am in the kitchen, they are often helping me chop, stir or mix. They go out of their way to just be next to me. It melts my heart. But do I go out my way to be near my boys?
I have learned a way to capture my boys heart! Althought my boys look tough, they love when mom wrestles around with them...locking them into some move, which I have no idea what that move is! ;) They love when I play around with them..they laugh and giggle..huge smiles of pure delight!
A mom of boys is a mom who wrestles! And mammas, when you do that..it opens a W I D E door to their heart.
When you have ahold of your boys heart, they will listen to you. They will obey your voice, they will be kind and gentle to all woman including sisters, they will feel comfortable and confide in you..you are building a relationship to stand strong. Most importantly, you can point your child to Christ. Your words will be important to them and they will take it all to heart.
I pray often, Lord help me to have a good relationship with each one of my children.
I noticed when I tickled and played rough with my boys, especially my oldest..our days went by smoother, he laughed and smiled alot more. God gave me the KEY.
Go ahead Moms and play rough with your boys! A mom of boys is a mom who wrestles !
