Lopsided Washcloths
I opened my bathroom cupboard to grab a washcloth to wash away the cleanser on my face..when I peeked inside I seen a stack of washcloths lopsided and the top one was unfolded....at first I reached in to grab the whole stack to refold and make neat. Then I stopped myself and thought about the chubby lil hands that put those washcloths away. He had taken the pile the day before when I was folding laundry. I remember he asked me, your bathroom or mine? I told him mine. He jetted to my bathroom opened the cupboard, placed the washcloths and slammed the door shut. What a sweet lil man he is. Only three years old and helping momma with the laundry...why would I take the time to refold and make a neat stack? they were in my cupboard and he had done his job, put them away. I keep thinking how Jayce is my youngest and I am not going to have anymore children. He is a lil man who has a mind of his own, like most 3 year olds! I am often cleaning one room and he his either dragging toys to every room he enters or scooting a chair to sneak a snack. Sometimes I just want to let a big grrrrrr out at him. I pray for patience everyday...but God is shhhhing me...whispering, this is your last 3year old..you wont be a mother to a toddler after Jayce....enjoy all those grr moments and kiss him..laugh with him.. Seeing these stack of washcloths was a good reminder that my home is a perfect example of attempting to be neat and clean....and if it ever is perfectly clean and organized then that probably is a clear sign there are no children in the house and that is a sad thought for me. So my goal is, not letting the housework frustrate me..do my best when I can. My children are only young once..and lopsided washcloths from chubby little hands wont be found much longer.

I can so relate to this, Sarah! I have a personaltity that easily gets sidetracked if something is out of place or not in order. It just doesn't matter half of the time and I usually end up wasting precious time straighting then being with my family. In the long run, its about the salvtion, ingreity, and character of the children I raise, not if I had a super clean and tidy home when they were growing up. :) Enjoy all those precious 3 year old moments, they go by sooo fast as it is! <3
I have to say I think this was more of an AWWWW instead of a humor post but I loved it! I'm the same way - sometimes I have to take a step back and not rearrange the dishes in the dishwasher after my 3 year old puts them in there because that would negate what she's doing!
