The Simple Woman's Daybook Oct, 3

Outside my window... a dark evening that still smells like rain! Our daylight is getting shorter and shorter..love this time of year!






I am thinking... My eyes have really been opened to alot this past week, I am still pondering it all..but thanking Jesus for being such a loving and patient teacher. If only I could parent and teach that way!!





I am thankful for... new christian, homeschooling parents and organization





I am wearing... my hair straight, purple top and black pj capri's with white dots, very comfy!





In the learning room... we added folders for math, art and handwritting to be kept in. and new puzzles that were given to us from a friend!





I am remembering... my childhood! My mom sent me a bundle of pictures of me with my mom and dad..it was funny to look thru and to show my kids. I was so young but I remember when most of them were taken.





I am going... on vacation next week with my family..so we can kick back and relax since my hubby has been gone for 3 weeks. I cannot wait to discover a new town and the road trip along the way. We will also be taking lessons with us!





I am currently reading... I have alot of books that I have been reading on and off. I like to read more then one book at once because I can fly thru them too quickly! I added 2 more books to my reading list, "Lies Women Believe and the Truth that Sets them Free" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. The 2nd book was a suprise treat, "Lessons at Blackberry Inn" by Karen Andreola.

Cant wait to begin reading!

I am hoping... and praying my husband arrives safely and on time! ;-)





On my mind...Christians and halloween..





Noticing that... my house needs a good scrubbing, i have a couple loads of laundry to do and I would like to bake something sweet for my husbands arrival!





Pondering these words... Matthew 7:21-23 Jesus said "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And then I will... declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice iniquity!'"





From the kitchen... if my kitchen could speak, it would say clean me! haha





Around the house...pumpkin and apple cider candles..mmm! Also brought home a bundle of gourds, i think they are the coolest!

One of my favorite things...rain!
