Well it wasnt the birthday I hoped for this year. My hubby had to leave quickly out of town, never good news to me. I miss him terribly, he is my best friend and I look forward to every moment with him! So thinking about my birthday without him left me super sad!
Expecting a dull day..
I woke to a beautiful white blanket of snow!
I know everyone has been getting loads of snow but here in NV we have been wearing hoodies! 60+ degrees! I love snow, love winter... super happy! My kids were also happy- happy!! We enjoyed a cream cheese danish for a birthday breakfast, cozy day of lessons and lots of extra reading... then a beautiful walk in the pretty, fresh, sparkling snow!!!
You do not have to always plan something, God provides blessings each day! Search for them!!

Hi Sarah Beth, Happy Birthday! Hey we use to live in NV. Raised our three kids in Gardnerville for 11 yrs there. Moved away and moved back to So. Reno and were there for 7 yrs. Our Son still lives in the Sparks area. Our home chuch was Hilltop Community in Carson City.It was a bit of a drive but worth it. We have known Joel Berger the Pastor and his family for about 35 yrs.
so what part of NV do you live if you don't mind me asking.
You did get a lot more snow then we did.

This is yet another great post. I am so sorry Jon had to leave so quickly and on your birthday, to boot. I know that stinks. You have a beautiful spirit though and your kids are so lucky to have a mama like you. You never miss a beat and they will remember that always about their mother! :) Your pictures are awesome and the snow looks wonderul: fresh, clean, and tons of it!! Looks like the kids had a blast. (so did wilson! ha!)
