Sunshine
Its been a long day, a long day of not accomplishing much! My children were hyper today, fighting and getting into things..i tried to do our math and spelling but they just needed to go out and run around. So we grabed our shoes on and headed down a trail about a mile long that twist and curves..ofcourse the kids cant stay on the nicely paved trail, oh no! So they found a new one, a dirt trail that went right over an almost dried out creek. Birds fluttered in every direction and glimpse of white tails hopped away.. the sun was warm..it felt good. Afer reaching the park the kids each wanted to do their own thing, alyssa on the swings, jayce on the slide and draven tossing his football..each wanted my love and attention..alyssa wanted me to give her big pushes, jayce wanted me to watch him slide down then hold my hand, draven wanted me to toss the ball back and forth and ofcourse my big dog wanted to hunt down every new scent! It was hard keeping up..but I did my best..for a moment i was sad, I dont want to do both mom and dad jobs, i want my husband here with us! As a football was being tossed to me I realized my children are patient and good to me. I should be enjoying these moments joyfully rather then having them pouting and whinning for their fun dad. GOD is always with me giving me strength and renewing me. I hope more warm days are headed our way! It was def worth forgetting housework and the last of our lessons and going out in the sunshine. Besides the outdoors is an awesome daily lesson of Gods creation..!! :) They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings like eagles. Isaiah 40:31

I know you have a lot on your plate with Jon being away so often right now, but you are truly doing a fabulous job! Reading your blogs and just knowing what a great mother you are already blesses me incredibly. You are a very strong and smart woman and I am glad that you are able to see all the positve blessings even when it seems hard to accept our present circumstances. Your right, God is always with us...that sometimes is just enough to get through the long days! :) Sounds like the day was hit going outside, glad you guys did. Fresh air always makes the mind clearer... :)
