A list of my fav's: Nevada!

{This is my first list of favorites!}

I decided to share my favorites on...NEVADA!

Probably strange topic but its a little list I have made. I have lived here in Nevada for 2 years now, very far from where I was born and raised. Nevada is completely different then where I am from, Michigan. My home state has a soft spot on my heart.. I love the woods, all the greenery, lakes and rivers..most importantly my family is there!

Its not easy for me to live in such a different environment so I made a sweet small list of reasons why I do cherish Nevada.

God has a plan for our life, right now He wants us here..I hate to complain and I try to look at the brighter side of everything even my new home. This is a way to encourage myself whenever I feel homesick. I hope that you enjoy...!

First on the list is a beautiful spot just 45mins north from where I live...
Lake Tahoe!
Its a slice of heaven..such a blue, clear lake surronded by mountains. Our first trip to Tahoe was a few weeks after living in NV. The drive to tahoe is beautiful, you head up a mountain, the road curves and twist and finally you see a deep blue color. I really do feel blessed to see such a beautiful lake. Our family cherishes each time we take a drive in the summer for a swim and in the winter to see all the snow! :~)

Second on my list is homeschooling... When my son went to preschool there was a few things I didnt like about public schools but I never even thought about homeschooling. I am not sure why, maybe because it was a small town I figured the school was basically okay. Something big happened when my son went to school here in Nevada.. God really spoke to my heart and showed me many things to dislike. I am so thankful for homeschooling and for God convicting me! I feel so complete in my job as a wife, mother and teacher that it trully overflows my heart with happiness!

Third on my list goes with the second fav~ my homeschool group here. Wow the moment I found a christian homeschooling group was beyond what I could ever imagine. Meeting new friends with views alot like mine was a breath of fresh air, even in Michigan I did not have this! I love our group, the field trips and activites are so much fun for the kids and I. Trully a big fav of mine!!
                    My 4 year old at his PE class for Home Educators of Faith!

Fourth~ The MOUNTAINS!

As I am sure you know, Michigan is flat. So being in my new home surronded by huge mountains was something very different... 2 years later I still am awe..I take pictures constantly and cant stand to look away. breathtaking!

#5 on the list is no bottle returns.. I know a pretty funny reason but its great not to save them ;~)

#6 is warm summer nights! The evenings here do not cool down alot. I love to take a night walk with my husband and children..its alot of fun to to take a walk and maybe even a swim in the evenings!

Hope you enjoyed some of my favorite things about Nevada!

Wow! Stunning mountains! I have never been to Nevada. I know that I would be in awe as well.

I had a very similar calling to homeschool my daughter. We are in our first year (2nd grade) and I absolutely LOVE it.

Very beautiful place! The farthest west I've been has been Wyoming & Montana {Also very beautiful!} Now I think Nevada would be another nice beautiful place to visit! :0) And homeschooling is the best! So happy and encouraging to see you are resting in the Lord and are satisfied in your "new" home.
